Too much on my plate - I want to RESEARCH how to be a great BLOGGER - What to write, how to capture the attention of others and months pass and I have nothing.
I caught the end of a tec class yesterday and they were discussing "BLOGGING". Basically, what you have to do is "JUST WRITE". So here I am, I am writing.
Have you heard of a DISTRESSED PROPERTY? What do you think that is (if your not in real estate) . . . Sounds like an old broken down house with the windows broke out, cob webs on the ceiling's and bats flying out the holes in the roof. It's not the actual property that's DISTRESSED . . . It's the Home Owner. Distressed - Does not mean that the home owner is old, broken down with cob webs and bats flying out of their head . . . It means that there was a situation or event that has cause the home owner to become late on their mortgage payment. WAIT - YOU CAN ACTUALLY BE DISTRESSED BEFORE YOUR LATE ON YOUR MORTGAGE!
I have a friend that was definitely distressed - but she paid everyone of her bills, including her mortgage - but had NO MONEY at all after all bills paid - (because of a divorce - her financial situation changed, putting her in a distressed situation) She called the mortgage company to ask for help - Guess what. . . Their definition of distressed was different than hers. Because she wasn't distressed enough - they could not help her.
Then- MONTHLY- you have the hundreds of home owners that receive a notice in the mail - YOUR PROPERTY IS GOING TO BE SOLD AT THE COURT HOUSE AUCTION NEXT MONTH. That's pretty distressed. "How did this happen?" many home owners ask themselves.
Job change, cut in pay, lost job, divorce, medical, death - all of those things are traumatic enough to deal with and before you know it - YOUR BEHIND. That's a distressed homeowner.
So with the distressed home owner comes the term DISTRESSED PROPERTY. They are not old, worn out, broken pieces of crap - They are family's homes! Situations happen to people that own $50,000 mobile homes to $MILLION DOLLAR MANSIONS! Trauma and significant situations can happen to anyone - reguardless of your income or value of your property. They homes that have been loved and cared for that now have to be sold on the auction and will eventually become some one else's home. Drive around your neighborhood - bet ya there's a distressed property in there some where. Actually, I bet there are at least two!
It does not matter HOW or WHY it happened but what does matter is that THERE IS HELP OUT THERE! FREE HELP. You have options - and it's not from a 3rd party, pay for our service, see what happens type of thing. Weather your home is about to go to the auction or you just filed for divorce and realize your income and status are about to change.... ask for advice and guidance now. If your loosing your house - guess what - YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE. If you just had a cut in pay, lost a loved one or had your income affected in some way - YOU HAVE TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS and HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE, weather its in your current home, an apartment or you move in with your MOTHER!
So who do you call? Who can help guide you, council you, give you your options with out scamming you out of a bunch of money? Well, it's got to be someone that is an EXPERT, who knows your options and has CONNECTIONS and RESOURCES, and is EDUCATED with the current trends of whats caused you to get to this point with out JUDGING. It's a REALTOR(r)
"A WHAT? A REALTOR(r)? They just work off commission and if I don't have a house to sell or buy - why would they help me?" That's a misconception that I have heard a few times as I have talked with different people over the past year. When in reality - a real estate agent is the best person to call and although agents do work on commission - there are a group of them that have spent many hours learning, studying and becoming experts in distressed property's, and home owners. Why - because that's what the need is right now.
If you need help, and you call a licensed, knowledgeable REALTOR(r) for advice and guidance . . .and they are successful at helping you.... who are you going to call or refer to others when you have or hear of someone wanting to buy or sell a home in the future - THE REALTOR(r) who HELPED YOU!
Think about that - spread the word, and let me know if you need a GOOD, KNOWLEDGEABLE REALTOR that specializes in helping homeowners in YOUR CURRENT SITUATION. It's my job to know who those people are and I can direct you to the person that right for YOU!
Quit hiding, get your head out of the sand, swallow your pride and get assistance! I was "Distressed" this year and it was HUMILIATING! THE WORST THING I HAVE BEEN THROUGH - But I got through it, learned from it and when I finally said it out loud - I was amazed at the help, compassion and resources that came my way. I said the same thing - BUT IT WASN'T MY FAULT THIS HAPPENED! I had to get over that and fix it.
